Executive Leadership selection theory: This book is a short research thesis that is based on informing readers about executive leadership selection in the National Guard/General Officers for positions at the General Officer level to include The Adjutant General. The book takes a qualitative research approach through the narrative inquiry process. My intellectual goals are clearly stated as personal, practical, and intellectual, and to explore why executive leaders are selected abundantly from combat arms branches than any other branch to lead. I looked at several leadership theories and how they could inform better or different outcomes. Introduction of Mélange Theory (M-Theory), a thesis I created while completing my doctoral studies, contributes to the effort of executive leadership selection.
